The Right Republican the Right Time

I believe that the following three amendments are the most abused by the judiciary.

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging

the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Positions:

I believe in the sanctity of life and new life needs to be protected. I believe that Roe vs. Wade is unconstitutional and should be overturned. This is an issue that needs to be placed back into the hands of the States and People of the United States. I am a Prolife Candidate.

I believe that Federal government has usurped the power and responsibilities rightfully belonging to State and Local Governments as well as from the family, church and other private social organizations.

The strength and greatness of our country lies with our families and personal faith.

The current weakness in our families, faith and morals are the roots of all of our current social problems.

The solution is not more Government.

We need to empower the family, church and private social organizations.

Church and State:

There is no such thing as “Separation of Church and State” in the US Constitution as we now define it.

There is to be no state church. This goes back to when everyone had to conform to the religion of the monarch or face the possibility of imprisonment or death. Just look at the reign of the Tudor dynasty in England. Henry VIII, Mary and Elizabeth, a lot of blood was shed during this time due to the creation of a state church. There was no freedom of religion among the commoners.

However, this does not mean that the government cannot recognize nor have voluntary spiritual participation. If the founding fathers wanted what we now call separation of church and state then why did they build and do so many things that would not be allowed today. They prayed, worshiped, made reference to God and placed pictures, monuments, and other artwork depicting religious themes and items. Is this a case of do what we say not what we do? I think not! We have a strong Christian/Judeo heritage and we should be proud of it. In fact we should honor it. Without our countries religious heritage we would not be here. As it says in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”. Since when is having a display of the Ten Commandments or a Bible, passing a law? Does congress pass laws to put things on display? This amendment is to restrict congress from passing laws; it is not a restriction on the states, people or churches.

Taxes:

The power to tax is the power to destroy.

Our current tax system is too complicated and unfair.

We need to make it fair and make sure all participate.

The Federal Government needs to divest itself from programs that they constitutionally should not be participating in.

Some form of flat tax along with a small heavily restricted national sales tax should be adopted.

Limit the number of deductions and make them apply equally to everyone.

Keep the national sales tax out of the general fund. Instead mandate where it is to be used. 1st to reduce the national deficit, 2nd Fix Social Security, 3rd Rainy day fund and Disaster recovery.

I would limit the National sales tax to less than 1.5%.

I would have the flat tax set between 15% and 17%

I would limit income deductions to:

Home interest

Max of 6 dependants (self, spouse, and 4 children)

Other Government Taxes

Charitable contributions up to 20%

Social Security tax should be removed from the general fund and only used for its intended purpose. Private accounts should be set up and the individual account holders should be allowed to make or have the option to choose investments similar to a Pension or 401K.

I would create a different tax system for businesses that is fair.

If you make the tax system fair and simple, you reduce the power that government has on your personal life and the influences from lobbyist and other self serving entities.

Military and Space Exploration:

Generally speaking, the Government only spends money; it does not produce anything that is profitable or economical. Except for two areas where the U.S. Government excels. Namely Military and Space research, only in these two areas, the Federal Government is in a unique position. Both of these areas are clearly and constitutionally within the prevue of the U.S. Government. They are clearly responsible for Defense and space is definitely outside of any of the States jurisdiction. Tax dollars spent on NASA and Defense have fueled our technological development and have given us most of the conveniences we enjoy today. In many other countries, National Governments fund the research and development of their business. This places our companies in a great disadvantage at times. We must maintain our ability to be the world leader in science and technology. Our Military should have the best equipment and NASA should be allowed to do what it does best, exploring space and moving man to the stars.

Homeland Defense:

We must and have the right to defend our borders. We must secure all 360 degrees of our country.

We have the ability to build a physical and technological frontier boundary protection system.

We must culturally unite. Bring back the melting pot that blended us to be strong and united.

We must take the battle to our enemies. Fight there not here.

Sorry, illegal immigration must stop. We need to know who and what is coming into our country. Our immigration problem can be reduced to three areas: Border Security, Immigration Reform and illegal’s already here. Border security must be our primary concern. Without first securing the border, the other two areas would be a waste of time. Once the border is secured we can establish new streamlined systems to help supplement our workforce. Dealing with those who are already here illegally is the toughest problem. We need to stop the taxpayer paid benefits to those who have not lawfully entered into the United States. This should help to encourage them to leave and enter this country properly.
